At 7:30 a.m., our professional tour guide will arrive at your hotel to pick you up. During the 2.5-hour van ride to Cai Be, you will pass by scenic villages and lush rice fields that provide a glimpse into the beauty of southern Vietnam's countryside. Once you arrive in Cai Be, you will board a boat to explore the Delta region and witness the agriculture and fishing activities that drive the region's economy. You will also get a chance to experience life on a boat firsthand.
Next, you will disembark at a local village to observe the traditional production of popular delicacies such as Pop rice cake, rice wine, rice paper, and sticky coconut candy. Afterward, you will take a skinny sampan boat through fruit orchards and mangroves to a picturesque island, where you can appreciate the natural beauty of the region. A visit to a local orchard garden will follow, where you can indulge in tropical fruits while listening to traditional folk songs performed by local artists.
Continuing the journey, you will cross the Mekong River via a large boat for 25 minutes to reach Vinh Long Province, where you will learn how to make Vietnamese pancakes and spring rolls. After making your own creations, you will enjoy a delicious lunch served at a leaf-roofed restaurant, featuring fresh spring rolls, whole grilled fish, curries, rice, fresh fruit, and other local dishes. You will then have the option to take a break, go kayaking, or bike around the Rambutan garden.
After a 30-minute break, you will have the opportunity to explore the village before returning to Hochiminh via the river and ferry. The tour will end at around 18:00 when you arrive in Saigon.
